Over the years of my practice as a printmaker, I have created many individual prints employing most of the printmaking techniques both relief and intaglio. They have included linocuts and woodcuts, screenprints, etchings and engravings, aquatint, embossing, chine collé and monotypes.
More recently I have focused on series including those I have exhibited, Murmurs of the Heart and Dunera. In these projects I have presented some of the prints in various forms of artist book, an approach that connects to my professional career as a librarian.
My current projects also engage with some of the preoccupations I tried to address during my library career as they seek to explore from a non-indigenous artistic perspective Australia’s amnesia about the brutal processes and consequences of the invasion of Aboriginal lands.
